OKLAHOMA CITY — At the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and Visual Services (VS) divisions’ awards ceremony, Enid residents, Vickie Farris and Sarah Mitchell-Tebow received awards. Farris received the VR Leadership Award. Mitchell-Tebow received the VR Lifetime Achievement Award.
Farris received the VR Leadership Award. A positive role model and inspirational counselor, Farris encourages others to pursue their passion. She serves a mentor for both new professionals and college interns. She assist with the agency’s new employee academy on mental illness. She also served as the Chair of the Woods County Coalition.
Mitchell-Tebow received the Lifetime Achievement Award. She has 29 years of services with the state of Oklahoma and 20 years of services with DRS. Mitchell-Tebow exemplifies the core value of servant leadership in her ability to influence others by her example. She maintains a unit of common goals and paves the way for staff to be able to work well together.
