CNVR is not a scholarship program but is based on eligibility. If a person is determined eligible, CNVR is able to assist with the cost of training/re-training at universities, colleges, and technology centers to acquire the skills and education needed to become gainfully employed or retain gainful employment.

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Vocational Rehabilitation Program offers a variety of programs and services designed to help American Indians with disabilities in finding employment and educational opportunities. Administered through the American Indian Vocational Rehabilitation (AIVR) program, these services are available to any enrolled member of a Federally Recognized Tribe, residing within the 11 county service area of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, with a documented physical or mental disability or impairment that is a substantial barrier to employment. AIVR services are also offered to Junior and Senior high school students age 16 and older, if eligible.

Vocational rehabilitation programs are designed to assist people with disabilities to enter or return to suitable employment. This program provides services to American Indians with disabilities in a manner that is consistent with each individual consumer’s strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities and capabilities.

Choctaw Nation Vocational Rehabilitation
The Choctaw Nation Vocational Rehabilitation Program offers services that will assist American Indians with disabilities obtain their goal of gainful employment. This program is designed to provide services consistent with individual consumer’s strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities, capabilities, interests, and informed choice, so that they may prepare for and engage in gainful employment.

The purpose of the Iowa Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation (ITOVR) is to provide services to American Indians with disabilities residing within the ITOVR designation seven county areas of Kay, Logan, Lincoln, Noble, Pawnee, Payne, and Pottawatomie. These services are consistent with individual strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities, capabilities, and most importantly, informed choice, so that American Indians with disabilities may prepare for and engage in gainful employment.
